Gardena Patrol Car Rear Ended by Suspected DUI Driver Two Officers Injured

December 16, 2011 – According to reports a Gardena police car was rear ended by a driver suspected of driving under the influence. According to the Gardena Police Department the patrol car was struck in the rear end at approximately 9:00 p.m. on Thursday night in the 13700 block of Vermont Avenue in Gardena.

The officer’s patrol car was parked at the scene of a mobile home fire at the time of the incident and both were injured during the impact. Both officers were transported to the hospital for treatment of their injuries that the Gardena Police Department stated were not life threatening. The driver of the vehicle was arrested at the scene for suspicion of driving under the influence after the collision.  It does not say in the news reports if the victims have retained a Ehline Law Firm PC personal injury lawyer.  I bet they are gonna need one!  Doh!
